From the desk of A Caring Heart...Bernard Olufemi JEMILOHUN

ARE YOU THE CAUSE OF YOUR WOES? As I contemplate on some painful and sorrowful scenarios that people experience in life, I cannot but wish I have the solution to people's problems each time a close case comes to my knowledge. Looking at how Satan torments humanity with all manner of sicknesses and afflictions and woe, I cannot but thank God for the Gospel of Jesus and at the same time wish the church will regain power as of old. But then sometimes I come across some self made problems that human beings have brought upon themselves and their children just because they rebelled against God-ordained authority and or chose to live in disobedience to His commands. We are very quick to heap all the blames on the devil and while the victims are suffering, some run around for help and very few people know that this is not the fault of the devil. It is sad that many young people hear and sometimes even know about the misery of some people, yet, they do not depart from the same pathway that those miserable people walked in. With so many stories to hear and learn from as a child and the myriad of examples and illustrations we hear at home, in the classroom, on social media and in the church, many still go headstrong on wrong doing thinking that somehow, they will escape what happened to others. I like to ask you, Are you the cause of your woes? Young man, the values of hard work and patient promotion was what you heard when you were young. In fact to a large extent, you believed it until you began to desire what other boys of your age should not have. Then you began internet fraud and you were happy you belong to the Big Boys Club. But now, your maga has gone wise and you have began money ritual! Last week your accomplice died and the fear of sudden death is eating you up... You cannot tell anyone what is wrong but you are already a walking corpse. Your parents are now concerned though they were not concerned then when you brought a new car home. Your lie that you won the car on the internet was enough to satisfy them. Now that the blood suckers are knocking your door, your daydreams have become nightmares. Are you not your own disaster? You are a young woman and from your childhood you have been taught the value of sexual purity. You were rebuked by your parents for wrong friendship when you were in secondary school and even when you were about to enter higher institution, your parents still warned you about the danger of an immoral lifestyle. Yet, you refused to listen and obey. You were not the hottest babe on campus but you secretly jumped from bed to bed. And, you were so smart, your parents did not know. Now your fornication has landed you in the bed of irreparable damage: the doctor said your last abortion is your very last! You will never get pregnant again not to talk of aborting! Now you are thinking of who will marry the cockerel that you have become! Are you not your own affliction? Oga Director... You thought you were smart. You forgot what you were told by the orientation officer when you joined the public service. You forgot that Rome was not built in a day. You desired to be a multi-millionaire without a personal business. You felt those who refused to steal were fools. You liked the Nigerian situation where no body is ever made to refund stolen money, after all you are not in the opposition. The Government earmarked money to take care of the mentally insane, but you diverted part of the money into your private account and you sent your children to study abroad with stolen money. Two of them are now diagnosed to be lunatics in progress. Are you not your own despair? Reverend Pastor, you entered the ministry to serve the Lord and be an agent of divine help to humanity, but you got lured into the pursuit of wealth and social class at the risk of your soul. You were no longer content with pastoring a humble congregation. You forgot that Jesus said no man could serve two masters. In your pursuit of money you developed an unduly high taste for class until you began to walk with magicians and satanists who call themselves prophets. Now the Spirit of God has left you, you only sustain yourself by eating at the table of darkness. Recently your first child died in sleep because the enemy who empowered you demanded his life. Are you not your own destruction? Mr Lecturer, you were employed to communicate knowledge and build the younger generation, and when you were introduced to students, they were excited. They saw you as the link bridge between them and the older professors. But you lacked the power to control your passion, every student in skirt appears to you like bush meat to be eaten by you. You took pleasure in devouring the very ones you were employed to nurture and develop. Now, all your age mates and colleagues are married, at 45, you do not have a fiancé much less a child. Even if you marry now, you will use your pension to train your children. And now you have spent about 20 years on the same level. Are you not your own stagnation? Oga ex-banker, your job was your life when we knew you. Everybody was happy that at last the chain of poverty in your family is broken. We all thought you will do your job with integrity and uprightness and a lot of respect for your personal dignity. We did not know that covetousness had eaten deep into you but was only waiting for a time to manifest. We thought it was the bonuses that made you rich. We did not know you were stealing by colluding with your customers. Now you have been dismissed with no benefits! All your years and all our hopes, dashed to pieces! All our dreams gone down the drain! Suddenly all your friends do not appear to know you again. In your loneliness you are now contemplating suicide. Are you not your own destiny killer? Our Youth Pastor, when you came into the church, the pastor thought you are the God sent help he has been praying for. You began to play with the sisters in a careless fashion. But since you are the youth pastor who has become the parish pastor's first son, nobody dare suspect you. You did not know that some of those girls are traps, they are already broken in life and they are looking for others to break. They only came to church for a cover up. And in your foolishness you entered their trap. You have now been told that one sister 'Hotlegs' tested positive for HIV. Alas, she was the one you slept with two weeks ago! The person that told you wanted you to warn the youths, not knowing that you are already in the trap. You are now ashamed and alarmed, the fear of an HIV screening result is killing you. Are you not your own eternal shame? Mummy! That is what we all call you. We loved and we respected you. It seems you forgot what your role primarily is, you did not know that a crown is only fitting when it is on the right head. It was your husband that added value to your life. After all, he was the one that God called and we followed. But you allowed distrust and competition to kill you. You never could trust your husband, every woman you see around him in the daytime is a rival and a competitor. You unashamedly pick quarrels with other women for no reason and when you find out you are wrong, you are too big to apologise. You have practically ruined the man's ministry. Now the man has been pushed to the wall, your overbearing nature has become too much. He has left the church and left home with no trace. You are now headless and directionless. Are you not your own confusion? Mr Government Contractor, I know you may not read this page. But let me sound you in case your friends do. You have made so much money from government contracts both on roads and on houses. But deep inside you know those roads are not good and the buildings are not as strong as they should be. On the day the road will swallow your children coming on holiday, or when the building will collapse on your children at the wedding reception, the whole community will ask who you offended. They may never know that your children entered the death trap that you created in the night, and your tears may run endlessly. Are you not the destroyer of your own posterity? Perhaps I did not mention your own case here. But deep down you know you are undoing yourself. You think you are smart enough to deceive everybody. Doesn't your mind remind you that you cannot outsmart the devil in deception? Doesn't your tricks teach you that one day monkey will go to the farm and not return home? Remember that much as a monkey loves banana, he never tries to climb a banana tree. A life in wisdom is the best you can live. Deceiving others always end in self destruction. Though sin offers man many pleasures, it lacks capacity to bring profit. All that sin can bring is sorrow and disappointment. Repent of your ungodly and sinful ways today and Jesus will give you a new beginning. I remain your friend, the Life Coach, Blessed Beyond Curses!

PETER OBI: Political Story

Obi challenged the impeachment and refused to partake in the April 2007 election that was won by the PDP’s Dr. Andy Uba. Obi’s patience was to prevail as the Supreme Court annulled his impeachment and ruled that he should be returned to power, and by that, puncturing Uba’s 17 day governorship. Following his restoration, Governor Obi’s performance in office has been hailed for its remarkable touch on the state’s infrastructure and development strategy using the Anambra Integrated Development Strategy, ANIDS. Obi’s re-election in 2010 was a hard fought victory that was partially helped by the division in the PDP’s divided house. Prof. Chukwuma Soludo who was the PDP flag bearer was not helped by the rancour that characterized his emergence as the PDP flag bearer, especially with his sister-in-law, Prof. Dora Akunyili, the likeable former minister of Information who won laurels in her earlier position as Director General of the National Agency for Foods, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC. While Obi has won endearment from near and wide, given his portrayal of being apolitical, his recent actions in fighting for the soul of APGA with the national chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, his inability to conduct local government elections for the eight years of his tenure and his alleged efforts in getting his protégée and banker as his replacement have changed opinions that Obi is entirely apolitical. Today's election would show how successful he has been in his endeavour. He is challenged by Ngige who is flying the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the PDP which is now reinvented and near united behind the former students’ union leader, Comrade Tony Nwoye.

Things U Need NOT do After meal

* Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher). * Don't eat fruits immediately -When you eat your fruits with meals, the fruit is stuck in the stomach along with the contents of the meals and cannot reach the intestines in time. Lying there they get spoilt and spoil the remaining food in the stomach too. Thus it is recommended that you eat a fruit at least one hour after eating a meal or before your meal and preferably in the morning with empty stomach. It is in the morning that the body can best use the nutrients in the fruit and get enough energy to start the day. * Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest. It is preferable to drink tea an hour after meals. * Don't loosen your belt -Fiction, not particularly bad for you! We generally have an attitude that a good meal is that which forces us to loosen our belts. However, loosening the belt is bad, not because it causes the intestines to twist or block but because it means that you have over eaten to a level that you are uncomfortable. Loosening of the belt may also cause you to feel comfortable once again which means you may continue overeating. So eat only to the extent that you can be comfortable without loosening your belt! * Don't bathe - Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach. * Don't walk about -Fact, it is bad for you! Walking directly after meals is a bad idea, it can result to acid reflux and indigestion. However, walking about half an hour after meals is known to be good for you. Researchers in the Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina, have found that walking after exercise is a good way to burn energy. The point to note is when to walk, you should ideally walk for about 10 minutes and only 20-30 minutes after meal to prevent acid reflux and stomach upsets. * Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

It's a Whao!...happy ending..**^smilessss^***

As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years. The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline–1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years ago. It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a “Dear John” letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him any more because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed, Hannah. It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope. “Operator,” I began, “this is an unusual request. I’m trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?” She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, “Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can’t give you the number.” She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. “I have a party who will speak with you.” I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, “Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!” “Would you know where that family could be located now?” I asked. “I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago,” the woman said. “Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter.” She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living. I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home. This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old? Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, “Yes, Hannah is staying with us. ” Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. “Well,” he said hesitatingly, “if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television.” I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah. She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The secondshe saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she tooka deep breath and said, “Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael.” She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said Softly, “I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor.” “Yes,” she continued. “Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If youshould find him, tell him I think of him often. And,” she hesitated for amoment, almost biting her lip, “tell him I still love him. You know,” she said smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, “I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael…” I thanked Hannah and said goodbye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, “Was the old lady able to help you?” I told him she had given me a lead. “At least I have a last name. But I think I’ll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet.” I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, “Hey, wait a minute! That’s Mr. Goldstein’s wallet. I’d know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He’s always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times.” “Who’s Mr. Goldstein?” I asked as my hand began to shake. “He’s one of the old timers on the 8th floor. That’s Mike Goldstein’s wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks.” I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse’s office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up. On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, “I think he’s still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He’s a darling old man.” We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet. Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, “Oh, it is missing!” “This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?” I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, “Yes, that’s it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward.” “No, thank you,” I said. “But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet.” The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. “You read that letter?” “Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is.” He suddenly grew pale. “Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me,” he begged. “She’s fine…just as pretty as when you knew her.” I said softly. The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, “Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow.” He grabbed my hand and said, “You know something, mister, I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I’ve always loved her. ” “Mr. Goldstein,” I said, “Come with me.” We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her. “Hannah,” she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. “Do you know this man?” She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn’t say a word. Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, “Hannah, it’s Michael. Do you remember me?” She gasped, “Michael! I don’t believe it! Michael! It’s you! My Michael!” He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces. “See,” I said. “See how the Good Lord works! If it’s meant to be, it will be.” About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. “Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!” It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man. The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year- old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple. A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.
Organisations that are characterised by capturing the largest market shares are known as market leader firms. Such firm usually possess sufficient buoyant economy with adequate financial power. They also possess the following features: • well diversified business operations • produce high quality products • possess efficient distribution system • able to purchase at reasonable discount However, they can easily be pushed to the position of market challenger or market follower if their operations and marketing strategies are faulty. For the market leader to remain at the apex level, they should: • introduce product innovations • introduce cost efficient facilities • protect their current market share • embark on heavy advertising campaign • continuously improving customers' satisfaction NB: it is important that market leader firms keep their operation techniques secret if they intends to retain their leading positions.

More Reason To Stop Eating After 7pm...

According to Louis J. Arnone, director of the comprehensive weight control program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, eating late at night is the equivalent of eating an extra meal. It also elevates triglyceride levels, which are associated with metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and heart disease. More reasons to stop eating after 7pm: If you eat late at night, your body stores the calories instead of burning them off. Weight gain, here we come! On the positive side, when you finish eating dinner before 7pm (assuming you go to bed before 11pm), you give your body time to digest the food you’ve eaten. That in turn means your stomach is not trying to work while you’re sleeping. That means less chance of acid reflux. And of course you’ll sleep better, which leads to better overall health. Don’t believe that eating after 7pm will make you fat? Just ask Dr. Bob Greene, who works with Oprah. Every time he’s helped her take off the weight, one of the key components is closing up the kitchen at 7pm sharp. Getting Started: Even though this is a simple daily change, it’s not easy to do at first – especially if you have an evening snack habit! The best way to approach this change is to keep in mind that it’s just a habit – your body doesn’t need any of those calories. Get the process started by making sure to eat a well-balanced dinner by 7pm. If you still have cravings later in the evening, you can have a snack – just substitute your regular evening snack with healthy alternatives. For example, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, or blackberries are high in fiber, rich in anti-oxidants, and are quickly digested. Carrot sticks and hummus are also a great substitution. Finally, make sure not to stay up too late, or the cravings will kick in no matter what you eat! Directions: Finish eating by 7pm every evening. Recommended Frequency: Every evening. Exceptions include late night romantic dinners. Expected Benefits Better digestion Balances blood sugar Weight loss Better sleep Less chance of acid reflux Simple Daily Change

NEW DISCOVERY!

The new part has been named the Anterolateral ligament(ALL). The ALL is present in 97% of all human knee. Hmmmm...so amazing!

NEW DISCOVERY!

Whao!...two Belgian knee surgeons have discovered a new part of the human body. ALL was discovered by Dr. Steven Claes and Dr. Johan Bellemans from University Hospitals Leuven who have been conducting research into ACL tears over the past four years. The scientists looked into a theory made by a French surgeon in 1879, which claimed that an unknown ligament existed on the anterior of the human knee. They looked into a theory made by a French surgeon in 1879, which claimed that an unknown ligament existed on the anterior of the human knee. After conducting a broad cadaver study using macroscopic dissection techniques, Claes and Bellemans found this theory to be correct. Their research showed that pivot shift occurs when there is additional injury in the ALL. The discovery, which was detailed in the Journal of Anatomy, could signal a breakthrough for the future of treatment for ACL injuries. Naija Scientist,we are powerfully waiting for Ur discoveries...

General Knowledge: HUMAN BRAIN ANALYSIS

1. MULTI-TASKING Women - Multiple process Womens brains designed to concentrate multiple task at a time. Women can Watch a TV and Talk over phone and cook. Men - Single Process Mens brains designed to concentrate only one work at a time. Men can not watch TV and talk over the phone at the same time. they stop the TV while Talking. They can either watch TV or talk over the phone or cook. 2. LANGUAGE Women can easily learn many languages. But can not find solutions to problems. Men can not easily learn languages, they can easily solve problems. That's why in average a 3 years old girl has three times higher vocabulary than a 3 yeard old boy. 3. ANALYTICAL SKILLS Mens brains has a lot of space for handling the analytical process. They can analyze and find the solution for a process and design a map of a building easily. But If a complex map is viewed by women, they can not understand it. Women can not understand the details of a map easily, For them it is just a dump of lines on a paper. 4. CAR DRIVING. While driving a car, mans analytical spaces are used in his brain. He can drive a car fastly. If he sees an object at long distance, immediately his brain classifies the object (bus or van or car) direction and speed of the object and he drives accordingly. Where woman take a long time to recognize the object direction/ speed. Mans single process mind stops the audio in the car (if any), then concentrates only on driving. 5. LYING When men lie to women face to face, they get caught easily. Womans super natural brain observes facial expression 70%, body language 20% and words coming from the mouth 10%. Mens brain does not have this. Women easily lie to men face to face. So guys, do not lie face to face. 6. PROBLEMS SOLVING If a man have a lot of problems, his brain clearly classifies the problems and puts them in individual rooms in the brain and then finds the solution one by one. You can see many guys looking at the sky for a long time. If a woman has a lot of problems, her brain can not classify the problems. she wants some one to hear that. After telling everything to a person she goes happily to bed. She does not worry about the problems being solved or not. 7. WHAT THEY WANT Men want status, success, solutions, big process, etc... But Women want relationship, friends, family, etc... 8. UNHAPPINESS If women are unhappy with their relations, they can not concentrate on their work. If men are unhappy with their work, they can not concentrate on the relations. 9. SPEECH Women use indirect language in speech. But Men use direct language. 10. HANDLING EMOTION Women talk a lot without thinking. Men act a lot without thinking.

AFRICANS AWAKE!

Both the critics of African governance and the critics of Western violence and meddling have it wrong. Politics, at the end of the day, simply cannot explain Africa's prolonged economic crisis. The claim that Africa's corruption is the basic source of the problem does not withstand practical experience or serious scrutiny. During the past decade, relatively well-governed countries in Africa failed to prosper, whereas societies in Asia perceived to have extensive corruption enjoyed rapid economic growth.we see that African countries lag behind in economic growth even when they are perceived to be less corrupt than their Asian counterparts. By formal statistical tests, Africa's per capita economic growth is significantly lower,by around 3% points per year, than in other developing countries with comparable levels of corruption and income.
